The popular Malvern Water and Well Dressing Festival is set to return this weekend with something for all of the family.

Scheduled from Saturday, May 4, to Sunday, May 12 2024, more than 50 wells will be creatively decorated in the theme of 'Trees'.

The festival will commence on Friday May 3 with dressing the wells, followed by judging on the Saturday.

Prize giving with rosettes and certificates occurs on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6 in Priory Park, coinciding with the Water Festival Family Fun Day.

Celebrating the history of the Malvern Hills, the festival will feature entertainment such as singing, well blessings, self-guided walks, minibus tours and more.

As part of the Water Festival, attendees can enjoy family activities, live music, street entertainers and Maypole dancing.

The Spirit of Malvern Painting competition, inviting artists to paint outdoors and exhibit their work in Priory Park, is also on the agenda.

Victoria Carman, visitor economy manager from Malvern Hills District Council said: "We’re really looking forward to the popular festival returning this weekend, it’s a big occasion, last year over 800 people took part in dressing the wells, springs and sprouts.

"We encourage residents and visitors to take a look at the wonderfully decorated wells and pop along to the water festival on Monday for a family fun day out."
